John Richey

John Richey is originally from southwestern Arizona, he holds degrees in combined media from both the University of Arizona and the University of California, San Diego. Richey has exhibited domestically and abroad in shows at P.S. 122 and Greene Naftali Gallery in New York, the Rufino Tamayo Museum in Mexico City, and in multiple iterations of the SPRING/BREAK Art Show. His work was profiled in Art Forum Internationals “Best of 2004” issue and has been reviewed by the online art publications Art F City and Artsy. Richey has attended artist residencies at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta, Canada, the Bronx Museum of the Art's AIM Program, and most recently the Studios at MASS MoCA residency in North Adams, MA. Over the past decade and a half, in addition to his active curatorial and studio practice, Richey has held various professional positions at New York galleries and fine art foundations including Marian Goodman Gallery, Greene Naftali Gallery, the Keith Haring Foundation, and Pace Gallery.
