Lime Coriander Bitters
These bitters are all about tall, cold, refreshing summer drinks. Or at least that’s what I had in mind when I made the first test batches. In my mind, I had collins glasses filled with ice, gin, soda water, and muddled summer berries. Tart and sweet and worthy of sipping all day long.
The coriander brings a savory and almost sweet note to these simple, versatile bitters. Did you know coriander is the seed of cilantro? But don’t fret if you’re one of the folks who think cilantro tastes like soap, because coriander provides a completely different flavor experience.

1 oz gin
.5 oz simple syrup
4-6 dashes The Bitter Housewife Lime Coriander Bitters

1 to 2-inch piece of cucumber
splash of soda
cucumber ribbon to garnish
Muddle cucumber, gin, simple, and bitters in a mixing glass. Add ice and a splash of soda then stir to chill. Strain into a tumbler filled with ice, top with prosecco and garnish with a ribbon of cucumber.
To make a cucumber ribbon simply use a potato peeler longways down a cucumber.
Goes great with gin, vodka, tequila, and fruity rum drinks. Try livening up a Margarita, a Bloody Mary, or a simple Gin & Tonic.
